United Bank of India’s financial results of Q3, FY 2019-20

United Bank of India’s total Business of Q3, FY 2019-20 stood at Rs. 208615 crore with deposits at Rs. 134624 crore and advances at Rs. 73991 crore. Deposits grew by 4.68%, advances increased by 6.79% and total business improved by 5.42% on Y-o-Y basis. CASA deposits at Rs. 69151 crore improved to 51.37% of total deposits with a growth of 188 bps Y-o-Y. Bank registered a quarterly net profit of Rs. 113.56 crore for Q3 ended on December 19 against a net loss of Rs. 1139.25 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. The bank eared operating profit of Rs. 636.92 crore for Q3 ended on December, 2019 against an operating profit of Rs. 382.64 crore in the same quarter of December 18, registering a growth of 66.45% on Y-o-Y basis.

UCO Bank’s financial results of Q3, FY 2019-20

UCO Bank’s operating profit for the quarter ended on December 31, 2019 has increased to Rs. 1210.52 crore from Rs. 381.41 crore for the same quarter of 2018 registering a growth of 217.38%. Total Business of the Bank has increased to Rs. 302241.63 crore for the quarter in 2019 from Rs. 291515.62 crore registering a growth of 3.68% on Y-o-Y basis. Net interest income of the bank for the quarter in 2019 has increased to Rs. 1236.59 crore fromRs. 826.60 crore for the same quarter in 2018 registering a growth of 49.60%. Net Loss for the quarter in 2019 has reduced to Rs. 960.17 crore from Rs. 998.74 crore for the same quarter in 2018.

First coil rolled out from SAIL- RSP

Steel Authority of India Limited’s (SAIL’s) Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has achieved a new feat by successfully rolling out the first coil from its newly installed world class Hot Strip Mill-2 (HSM-2). The new Hot Strip Mill with 3 Million Tonne per annum (MTPA) capacity is a state-of-the-art mill with few parallels in India and will be producing world-class hot rolled (HR) coils. The Mill has been set up at a cost of about Rs. 3000 crore and will enrich the product basket and will enhance the company’s market share. SAIL has also registered a 35% rise in sales during the month of January 2020 over corresponding period last year.

AMRI provides advanced oncological services

AMRI Hospitals launched a bone marrow transplant (BMT) facility at its Dhakuria unit, marking World Cancer Day 2020. With the new BMT facility, the hospital will be able to provide better oncological services to its patients. AMRI Hospitals ran awareness programmes at both its Dhakuria and Salt Lake units, by arranging for talks and interactive sessions for cancer survivors and their family members with top cancer specialists. Actress Koneenica Banerjee was present at the inauguration. Rupak Barua, Group CEO, AMRI Hospitals said, “It is important to have a multi-disciplinary approach towards cancer treatment and only super speciality hospitals like AMRI can provide that kind of support to cancer patients.”
